400kv Electricity Line (Approx 25-30km in length) which will enable grid connection to Sizewell C.

Local Authorities: Babergh District Council, Suffolk County Council, Braintree District Council, Essex County Council.

Four options have been put forward for Stage 1 of public consultation, which closed on 22 February 2010.

What happens next

The application is expected to be submitted to the IPC on 1 October 2012.

The IPC has 28 days from the day after submission (known as the acceptance stage) to review the application and decide whether or not to accept it.

If the application is accepted, we will advise the timescales when interested parties can register to make a representation.

If the application is accepted, we will:

  • Publish the date from which you will be able to register to put your case on the application
  • Publish the date on which registration will close.
